AICC is committed to promoting and protecting the fundamental right of patients with cancer to access an integrated and comprehensive program of quality diagnosis, treatment, and support.
AICC believes that it is critical for physicians across specialties to join together with a common voice in support of group practices that have integrated physicians of different specialties into a team approach for treating cancer.
AICC opposes efforts to create a monopoly over the delivery of cancer treatment for any one medical specialty that would undermine the ability of physicians to furnish patients with an integrated model of cancer care.
AICC believes in the importance of working with legislators and regulators on the state and national levels to curb over-utilization of health care services while preserving patient access to comprehensive cancer care in the multi-specialty physician group practice setting.
AICC is committed to the coordination of data collection regarding utilization and outcome analysis to ensure that patients with cancer receive only the highest quality, necessary treatment.
